Have you ever come home to a flood in the laundry room, or a burst pipe in the basement?
Home security is about more than just burglary prevention. Protect your home against the damage from elements by adding environmental sensors to your security system.
Our monitored environmental sensors connect to your security system and work by alerting you and/or the monitoring station of fire, carbon monoxide, flooding, or low temperatures so that you can swiftly take action.
Smoke Detectors
Monitored smoke detectors will send a signal to the monitoring station in the event of a fire, facilitating a quick response. These offer great peace of mind compared to traditional un-monitored smoke detectors, because they don’t rely on someone being home to hear the alarm and call emergency services. This feature can sometimes improve your insurance premiums.
Carbon Monoxide (CO) Detectors
Help keep your family safe with monitored carbon monoxide detectors. The monitoring station will be alerted if an unsafe level of this toxic gas is detected in your home so that appropriate action can be taken.
Flood Sensors
Our flood sensors alert you if they detect pooling water, so that you can respond as early as possible, before costly damage occurs. We highly recommend placing these in flood-prone areas, like basements, or where leaks could be more likely, like near the washer. This feature can sometimes improve your insurance premiums.
Low-temperature Sensors
Temperature sensors keep tabs on the temperature in your home. You’ll get an alert if the temperature is outside the threshold you’ve set. This is especially useful during power outages or if you take winter vacations – you’ll know if the temperature drops too low so you’ll have the opportunity to address the issue before potential issues such as frozen/burst pipes might occur.
